Nepal Filmmaker’s Association has demanded the implementation of the agreement between film producers and, the owners of movie theaters in 2060 BS. If the demands are not fulfilled, there will be no movies from Jestha 2nd.

This decision has been made by the grand meeting of producer’s association on Saturday 8th Baishakh. In the agreement made in 2060 BS between the producer association and movie theaters, it was agreed that film producers would receive 55 to 60% until the holdover, otherwise, they would receive 40 to 45% share.

However, the agreement has not yet been implemented and the union has forwarded a 2-point demand saying that the agreements have been violated by the big theaters and followed by others.

The association has demanded the implementation of box office within the timeline and stated to cooperate with the government.

The producer association has stated that the table talk is always open. If demands are neglected by Jestha 1th, there will be a new movement.
